Drive-by clarifications part 2

Here is another set from a family's blog. I love the composition, but the color and focus are off.

The original picture of the stream and the snow.

First, I corrected the exposure in Adobe Camera Raw. Then, I fixed the focus with Smart Sharpen and re-mapped the black and white points using a Curves adjustment layer. 

After the Forensic Photoshop treatment.

The results reveal this beautiful shot. It looks like a nice place to visit.
