Calibration Bars

Calibration Bars is one of the options found in the Output submenu of the Print dialog box. When you check this box, Photoshop prints an 11-step grayscale wedge that contains a transition in density from 0-100% in 10% slices.

A reader had a bit of trouble with this. He wanted the bars on the image. But they weren't showing up. He thought that there was something wrong with Photoshop. Not to worry. The Calibration Bars will only print if the paper size is larger than the printed dimensions of the image, which is why it wouldn't work whilst printing "full bleed" images.
